Excellent! Glad to see you made your way here.ghost_rider wrote:Hi everyone. Some of you might already know me from other forums (QuestStudios, AGDI, QFMG).
I first played Quest for Glory 1 (the Hero's Quest version) back in late '89 or early '90 on the Amiga 2000. That got me into some of the other series, Police Quest, King's Quest, etc. I like the QFG series the best, but I don't think I've played a Sierra game that I didn't like.
Happy gaming!

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone
My name is Jonny Karlsson, and I'm from Sweden. I have been using the great installers and other stuff from here for years, but now I feel I should join the forums aswell. I'm usually more active in the Sierra-related groups on facebook, and some of you might have visited my youtube channel GuyfromAndromeda.
I've been a huge Sierra fan since my first encounter with their games, in my case, Space Quest VI at a friends house in '98. I began by getting the Space Quest Collection, and then I have expanded with King's Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest and Quest for Glory. Nowadays if I find any kind of game with Sierra's logo on it, I get it. But I'm still far from the magnitude of collectors I've seen on facebook for example.
My favourite I think still is Space Quest, but Quest for Glory blew my mind. And when I write this, I have been catching up with the King's Quest games I haven't finished yet, and they have been a magnificent experience aswell.
I may not be a very active user of forums, but I hope I can share some wonderful times with you.

Kidding aside - there's so much awesome good times to be found within Sierra games. As Andrea said, Gabriel Knight is another one I'd try if you haven't yet.

Moin moin,
my name is Nico Bendlin and I live in Germany.
I'm doing Windows system programming and x86 reverse engineering since the mid-nineties
Mostly due to fan requests, I am often analyzing ancient game binaries and file formats in my spare time.
Recently I messed around with KQMOE to be able to load saves and view the videos on Wine.
And currently I'm working around the well-known KQMOE TalkComplete bug...
Best regards,
Nico

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Welcome to SHP. That bug fix that would be welcomed. While I wrote the installer for MoE, Aroenai is the one that has done the editing of MASK.EXE.

Re: Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone!
My name is Francisco and I live in Portugal. I have already posted on the boards, but I didn't notice this topic until now. I started playing Sierra games in 1998 with Gabriel Knight - Sins of the fathers when I borrowed the floppy disk version from a friend and became a fan ever since. I then moved on to GK2, GK3 and a few other titles, but GK1 remains my all-time favorite.
I found this forum after developing a small "minimizer" for GK3. I was looking for a place to post it online and found the help pages.
I'm a self-taught programmer working as a software engineer and I started using some of my free time to develop small patches and workarounds for older games.
I'm really looking forward to the release of GK 20th anniversary edition and, hopefully, GK4.
Thanks for reading!
