QFG1 VGA crashes in DOSBox

I've been trying to have a QFG marathon, but I can't save in the first one. I can access the box with all the options, but whenever I press "Save" or "Restore" the options box disappears and the Save box doesn't pop up. Same goes for trying to refresh my game when I start a new session. The Restore box just doesn't pop up and it stays at the menu. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it?

Yes. At first, it worked perfectly, but one day it just stopped working

You ran that from your downloads folder. It has to be the one in the installed game's folder.

I looked, but I dont think I have it. What's the name of the file?

You will find a link for it in the start menu folder for the game.
