Phatasmagoria 2 - Game Crashes on Easter Egg

Well, the game files are identical. Play with the output setting in the dosbox.conf.

I tried using the other outputs, and it still crashes the game.

I just found something strange when I reused the save file I uploaded about this problem. The easter egg scene plays without any problems when using that save, but if I start a new game, or use a different save file I created, the problem still occurs.

Strange. Guess it explains why it was not crashing for me.

Just had a thought of why the crash might be occurring when playing straight through, but not from the save. It might be a heap error where something earlier was not being disposed properly, leaving it in heap and triggering the egg pushes it over the limit. When loading from the save the heap would not be filled prior to the egg scene. That would suggest a fix, but it would be beyond my abilities.

I guess the only temporary fix at the moment involving this problem, is using the save file I uploaded in my first post to view the easter egg, or skipping the scene if they only want to earn those points.

Sorry to revive this thread, but I came across a problem in chapter 5, similar to the one I reported back in 2013.

When doing the last puzzle in the game, if I click on the laser knob (the circled area in the image), the game crashes with this error message:

Also, I noticed as I was playing the game, the easter egg that kept crashing my game in chapter 1 doesn't have that problem when triggered in other chapters.
