Even More Incredible Machine Redbook Audio CD Version

Post by syntheticgerbil »

Hello, I am looking for the redbook audio version of The Even More Incredible Machine. I have now bought CD versions of this game five different times off of ebay and they only ever come with the Windows version and midi tracks only. I saw someone on Youtube post the audio from the CD version and I contacted them and asked them exactly which version of the CD release has this audio (not the 3DO version) and they said it is only available in the MS-DOS CD version. This is strange because for whatever reason (even if it says MS-DOS on the back of the case) these CD versions I keep buying do not have install.bat or any DOS files.

I ended up then buying the French Sierra Originals CD release for The Even More Incredible Machine and it comes with both the DOS and Windows versions however again, there is no redbook audio, only Midi.

What is the version of The Even More Incredible Machine that I should be purchasing that has the CD Audio? Is there a way to tell by a barcode, serial number or what have you? I know a lot of the actual covers on the CDs look different, so maybe that's a way to tell?

I am hoping someone here can help me with this, maybe Collector since he has made an installer for versions of The Even More Incredible Machine with Redbook Audio. This version must exist somewhere.

I am also having the exact same problem with The Incredible Machine 3.0, no redbook, midi only. If someone can help with that as well I'd also appreciate it.

My version is the NA Sierra Originals version and it includes the DOS version and 20 CDA tracks. It is what I based the new installer on.

Are there any scans of it? I seem to keep getting versions of this one, however there's no CD audio on any of them. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/4 ... 3,200_.jpg

Sorry, I was mistaken. Somehow my Originals copy got mixed up with my first release. You are right. The Originals is missing the CDA tracks. The one that has the CDA tracks is the original release.

Oh thank you, I see it says on the box it has live CD sound. I'll see if I can track down that version.

It can be a bit hard to track this one down. I have been looking for a copy with a better box.
