I just tried this. It gave the same result as just "throw rock": you get a targeting cursor and can throw the rock at something. So I don't think it's possible that way.

If you try to throw an object or spell at Julanar, though, it will bounce off into the screen.

As for the screenshot - I'd wager a guess that this is Swordy Lordy from QfG1. Am I right?
