Alternatives for Qucktime playing QFG 5

Is there any alternatives for quicktime to play QFG 5 ? If so how would you get it to work. I'm asking because according to homeland security they recommend windows users to unistall quicktime.

If you use the new installer it will add the required QuickTime files to game without installing QuickTime itself.
