Oh, it is very likely that it may have been digitally enhanced, but it was taken with a pretty strong flash, which added a lot of contrast and sharpness. You can see the stark shadows from the flash, in spite of the daylight coming onto the room from the opposite side (down the hall to the left).

It looks like something out of Gray Matter...

Never through of that... you're right, especially the second one is very similar to photos I've seen of Cambodia! I'd really like to go to Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, but with my luck, I'd probably get bitten by a poisonous snake, or worse!

There are places that I would like to travel, but some of them are not that safe for westerners, especially Americans. Though I suppose that Cambodia is not exactly the killing fields anymore. As far as natural dangers Australia has to take the cake. Everything is venomous there.
