That is really odd. I loaded SQ6 last night - and ran around a little - and didn't see any issues on mine.Hecatomb wrote:I tried shutting off my antivirus program (AVG) and running the game, and I also tried CTRL+F8, and neither of those affected the game at all. I don't understand why the older games run at perfect speed, and the newest one doesn't.

Re: SQ6 (2006) lag issues?
I found the solution on GOG.com. By pressing CTRL+F12 I can manually increase the cycles from the base 2500 in increments of 500. After manually changing the cycles setting in the DOSBox config file from max to 10,000 the game runs at an ideal speed. This also caused slight stuttering in the spoken dialog, which I corrected by using CTRL+F8 to raise the frameskip from 0 to 1. Thank you for your help gentlemen, much appreciated.

if you'd set the cycles to MAX as Collector suggested, then you shouldn't have had to use F12 to increase the cycles. And if you did set cycles to MAX and that didn't work, then something is wrong or you didn't do it in the right config file
