Space Quest I VGA install.exe does not work

After running the Collection Series installer, I get this error when trying to run install.exe:

The installer was used with an original copy of the Space Quest Collection Series disc(s). Can provide proof if needed.

Unzip the attached file into the game's folder, overwriting the existing one. It also looks like you may have an old version of the installer.

Thanks. Are there older or newer versions of the installer available for download? I downloaded all of the collection series installers within the past month or so..

Some have copies of my installers available for download without permission. The main reason that I don't like it is that when I update an installer some will download it elsewhere and ask support for a problem that I had already fixed in newer versions. Another source for older versions is from people who downloaded one of the installers and saved it and used it again much later, even though it had since been replaced with a newer version.

Hmm. I definitely have downloaded all of them directly from the Sierra Help site. Although I did notice that in the "S" section, there is as link for the Collection Series installer, as well as at the very bottom of that page under the "New Installers for Sierra Collections" header. I assumed they were the same file, but perhaps one is more updated than the other?
