v56 files and link Structures

Post by drdiotte »

I what to take a moment to say thanks for letting me join your forum.

I have been working on editing v56 and p56 images and now that i got the hang of that I am running into issues with the link structures that are in SOME v56 files. I know the information that is out there is limited because i have searched all over and only find bits and pieces of the information that I am looking for.

The Game I am working on is The Realm Online TRO. SCI2.1

If anyone has any information that would help me on my journey I would be very appreciative. I read everything I can find but just haven't found the information i really need.

Thanks
Donald

Welcome. Resources in SCI and AGI games can be viewed with SV, but cannot be modified. SCI Companion is the current state of the art SCI editor, but it can only work with SCI up to SCI1.1. FotoSCIhop can work with SCI2+ views and pics, but is largely abandoned. Aftertaste on the SCI Programmers' Community was working on The Realm to RE the server. However he has not been around for a while. You may wish to also join the SCI Programmers' Community as there are a number of people there that have in-depth knowledge of SCI. http://sciprogramming.com/community/index.php

Thank you Collector, Yes I have talked to Enrico just today about it and he told me I should go talk with a few people over at ScummVM maybe someone there could point me in the right direction, so i figured I would ask around here also. You just never know who might have a tip they are willing to share. I do see Bob (Aftertaste) on chat sometimes but never talked to him about that issue. But now I will. Thanks again for your response.
