I learned that at least Castle and Island of Dr. Brain had been re-released in CD. I found absolutely no information about those versions other than scans of the packages and jewel cases. I think they were released in or around 1996.
Does anyone know how different they were from the original floppy versions? Were they upgrades (Eg. expansions, more videos or speech) or just a repackage of those versions? What were the contents of the disks?

Re: Dr. Brain CD version
I only had the floppy versions. So I am not sure if the CDs have new bangs and whistles.

They are just rereleases.

Re: Dr. Brain CD version
Thank you for the reply Coll. So it's like 6 MB of a game burned in a CD? Is there any information about what they filled the package/disk with?
Re: Dr. Brain CD version
This is something that Sierra did, often with the Sierra Originals re-releases. Even though they were padded out with a number of demos there generally was more unused space on the discs than the game and all of the demos needed. for example Dr. Brain 1 only used about 140 MB of the disc. The Castle of Dr. Brain files are in the base of the disc with demos in subdirectories. Included demos were a Director presentation of the Adi children's games, an interactive Dr. Brain 3 demo, Non-interactive demos of the Playtoons games, an interactive TIM3 demo, an interactive demo of 3-D Ultra Pinball, Win32s for Windows 3x, and WinG setup.
