Hey all I just thought I would let you all know that ScummVM 2.0 final stable is out and it supports 23 more games including SQ6, KQ7, Mixed up Mother Goose Deluxe and LSL7 to name a few. This is good for those who have an earlier copy of KQ7 and they had trouble with the Fire cracker timer issue that plagued versions of KQ7 before 2.0 was released. And SQ6 has it fair share of timer bugs as well. This adds another way of playing these old classic games besides DOSBox. And Mixed up Mother Goose deluxe needed Windows 3.xx installed inside of DOSBox to get working properly. Now you do not need to do that any longer.

That's pretty cool. The downside is getting Windows 3.xx from somewhere, without a worry that it has "extra surprises" embedded in it.Fender_178 wrote:Hey all I just thought I would let you all know that ScummVM 2.0 final stable is out and it supports 23 more games including SQ6, KQ7, Mixed up Mother Goose Deluxe and LSL7 to name a few. Very true about that.Tawmis wrote:That's pretty cool. Re: ScummVM 2.0 Released
Very cool release. BBP helped me get a copy of LSL7 back in the day (thanks, BBP! ), and I used the SHP installer to play it. I guess I don't need the SHP installer any more? *puzzled* Or... is there a difference between using the SHP installer and using ScummVM?
GK1 and GK2 are also new on the list - cool!
There's one game in that list that I don't recognise. What is Plumbers Don't Wear Ties? *googles and reads about the title* Oh, $deity$... never mind!

Re: ScummVM 2.0 Released
I've recently installed this latest version. Is anyone else experiencing slight buzzing and hissing when playing with MT-32 enabled? It only seems to affect certain instruments, but it's audible nonetheless.
Granted, it's far better than the development builds have been the past few months - those had incredibly choppy and buzzy audio - but it's still not as smooth sounding as it used to be.
I'm wondering if SDL 2.0.7 has something to do with it. The Kirben builds utilizing earlier versions of SDL 2.0 had no sound issues, and the BuildBot versions (which still use SDL 1.2) have no problems.
Whatever the issue, I'm sure it'll be resolved down the line.
