Not finding any Glory in this whole Quest for Glory bit? Need a hint? Or just want to discuss Quest for Glory - this is the place to do it!

New (possibly?) QfG Project?

Post by Rath Darkblade »

I think this has been going on for years, actually, but it's new to me. ;) Presenting...

Quest for 3D

A re-creation of QfG1 in three dimensions. Looks good to me! :) Hopefully it will be pursued. Plus, we finally get to see inside the sheriff's office! :D

Has anyone heard about this previously?

I've heard of various projects to 3D-ize QfG games, but I'm not sure if that includes this one in particular. Given that the project is already five years old and the last update was almost a year ago, I don't think it'll ever finish.

I had not heard of this... but yes, like you said, I think this happens with a lot of fan games... because everyone's interested in it at first, but then it requires a lot of time, real life gets in the way, the struggle to keep a team together.

I really dislike 3D graphics. 3D is no improvement at all for me. I would greatly prefer a 2D version of QfG5.

Hah! What made you dig up this thread? Almost a year old! (Nothing wrong with it - was just curious if you were googling QFG and came back around this thread?) :D

Yay! Nowhere Girl, you found my missing Staff of Necromancy +5 and my Skull Ring of Speaking to the Dead! :) *gratefully takes back his staff and ring*

Now all I need to find are my necromancy robes - oh, wait - I left them back in Tamriel... ;)

"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody raises the dead on my watch!" :P

Nope. I was just going to write about my discovery that Scumm VM bypasses bugs in QfG3 way better than DOSBox and I found this topic...

Ah! Okay! Yeah - I saw that post after.

Not heard from you in a VERY long time, it feels like!

(And I agree - I prefer SCI/AGI type Sierra games).

The one thing I did like, for example in GK2, was being able to pan the camera around. That was kind of nice, though.
