I'm at the butcher's, waiting patiently for a lady to finish paying for her stuff. The butcher on duty calls another butcher for me, when an old lady elbows me out of the way and says to butcher #2, "Just a quick question..."
Luckily for her, I was more amused than annoyed, plus I wasn't in a hurry. This is what happened next:
Old Lady: "Just a quick question - how much is [meat #1]?"
Butcher #2: "Let me see."
Butcher #1: (to butcher #2) "This gentleman was actually next."
(Butcher #2 quickly answers the lady's question, then turns to me).
Old Lady: "HEY! Finish serving ME!" *stamps foot*
Butcher #2: "You'll have to wait your turn. This man was next."
Old Lady: "FINE! I'M NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN!!!" *storms out*
Me: *to the others* "Wow. What was her problem?"
We all had a good laugh, and I got my shopping done - unlike some old hag who obviously hasn't grown up yet...!
