Finished the CD version of the game. From what I understand, the only thing that is missing from the CD version is the MT-32 music, but I downloaded an MT-32/SoundBlaster driver a while ago so I still had MT-32 sound.
Not much more to add. The voice acting is pretty decent. The kid who plays Willy actually does a good job. The narrator sounded like he was having fun with his lines. Too much fun on occasion. He adopts goofy accents on occasion. All in all not bad, though.
I mentioned my problems with the characters as being 1-dimensional, but I didn't really talk about the plot. This was another place where they seem to bring up plot points, but they end up going nowhere. Like the fact that Tootsweet is made of recycled sewer sludge. People seem to be fine with this since they advertise it. It's not really a joke, or an effective joke anyway. So... why? There's also the plot to set up Willy's dad to be a patsy, but this also goes nowhere.
So, yeah. This wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I don't think it's a terrible game, it's just dull and uninteresting.
Other observations:
"Help me, I've fallen and I can't get up!" This joke doesn't date the game at all.
"NOT!" See above.
