I just heard about Cat Cafe Melbourne, in the heart of the CBD (Central Business District) of my town. Nice! It's a space where the humans save rescue cats and give them a warm space to live and share with other humans. I might check it out the next time I'm in the CBD.
Some more info about them (and pictures) here.
It's not Australia's first cat cafe, so there may be others - but it's Melbourne's first. So the next time you're in Melbourne, why not drop by? It's all for a good cause, giving rescue cats a good home away from the mean streets.
How cool is this?

Nice! We have a place like that in Vancouver called Catfe. They bring in friendly cats from the animal shelter to mingle with humans while they have coffee and lunch. And all the cats are for adoption too.
I haven't been inside yet, because there's a 3-5 hour queue whenever I walk by. But I gather they've been successful with the adoptions since I see new cats through the window every other day.
