Possibly. But nothing attracts someone like a free game (and other games discounted). So they sucker you with a free game advertised, but have other games off at 25% off that you think, "Oh, I might as well grab that while it's on sale!"MusicallyInspired wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2019 2:37 pm Previously Epic were releasing a free game every two weeks (every fortnite....get it?) since the store was opened. Games like The Witness and Super Meat Boy and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter were all offered. Now with the sale they've changed it to every week. It makes me wonder if after the mega sale that they'll stop offering the consistent free games altogether.

For Tawm - and anyone else who plays (or played) Mortal Kombat...
MK1+2+3 are currently on sale at GOG for $2 AUS (about $3-4 USD). So grab it if you like. Or not. As you wish!
(Gee, how's that for the most unconvincing sales-pitch ever. Now you know why I'm not a salesman)

Not a Sierra game, but if you enjoy a good RPG, Wizardry 8 is less than $3 right now...

Re: Steam and GOG sales
Epic Games is now giving away TWO free games a week, it seems. At least, for the next couple weeks they are. This week, they're giving away "Moonlighter" and "This War of Mine", while next week it's "Alan Wake" and "For Honor".
Haven't played three of those, though I've heard good things. But I will recommend "Alan Wake" to anyone who might enjoy a good horror-shooter in the style of a Stephen King novel.

The new LSL game (not by Al Lowe, naturally) is now 30% off at GOG. So pick it up if you like.
Datadog pointed out Epic Games above, and they've developed a game I'm very curious about and interested in: Ancestors, the Humankind Odyssey (available here.). Regardless of what you think of evolution, this game looks very interesting!

Re: Steam and GOG sales
Epic Games is giving away the Batman Arkham Trilogy, plus the LEGO Batman Trilogy for free. This seems like their biggest giveaway so far, and it's starting to feel like there's a catch, so take it with a grain of salt. Otherwise, you can have six mostly great Batman games for free this week.

Re: Steam and GOG sales
Holy snap. I own most of those already on Steam (sans LEGO Batman 2 and 3), I don't like Epic's business strategy, and I don't intend on giving them any money, but I've been getting all their free games since they started. This is the craziest one yet.

Grabbed them also. I have some of the Ark games on XBOX. But, can't pass up free.

Re: Steam and GOG sales
It's time to play GK1 again! For a limited time, you can get 70% of Gabriel knight 1 (the new one) on GOG.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and snap it up! Unless you already have it, of course. (Darn).

Re: Steam and GOG sales
I tried downloading Dragon Age from GOG, but had no luck. Every 100 Mb or so, the download was interrupted and Galaxy told me that it was having a "Server Problem" (and no explanation). I kept trying and trying, but only managed to download 1 Gb out of about 23 Gb ...
Anyway, GOG were nice enough to help me, and when I couldn't make it work, they gave me a refund. I wonder what happened, since this is the only game this ever happened to. Perhaps I should stay away from large games?
