Warcraft 3: Reforged.

Post by Rath Darkblade »

I wonder if anyone is playing this. From the Kotaku review I've just seen, it's a bit of a letdown.

Then again, the last time I played WC3 was in 2004, back when dinosaurs - er, Pentium 4 computers - ran the earth. ;)

What do you think of this game? Just wondering ...

As much as I loved Warcraft (2) and 3 - I didn't get Reforged.
Just like I didn't get the Neverwinter Nights 1: Enhanced Edition.

The "enhanced" edition of these didn't appeal to me. But rest assured if they did a Sierra EGA to VGA game, I'd probably pick that up in a heart beat.

You're not missing much. I got the "enhanced" edition of NWN1 on sale, and not counting a "cleaned up" look for the graphics and some extra music, it's exactly the same as the original NWN1.

(Of course, they also re-programmed it so it works on the newer Windows ... so.)

You mean, like the one that features this guy? ;)

Yes... Considering I had the EGA when it originally came out... bought the VGA when that came out... then... bought RELOADED when that came out... I mean... how many times can they remake it and sucker me in?

Answer: As many as they want. :D

It'd be fun if they remade LSL2, and even more fun if they added extra puzzles to make it harder. LSL2 and LSL3 are still my favourite Larry games, because they're the hardest. :)

LSL1 is realistic (as realistic as Larry gets!) and fun but short. LSL5 is ... meh ... easily the worst and most confusing. LSL6 is fun, but not very hard. LSL7 is fun, but plain silly. ;)

And that concludes my (very) brief reviews of the Larry series! :D

(Please note, I did not include BOB or MCL because they are, to the Larry series, what QfG4.5 is to the QfG series: crude and unworthy attempts to cash in on the Larry legacy) :P
