So glad I didn't have to import this...

Post by MusicallyInspired »

I just got this the other day at a local retro game store. Didn't expect that I wouldn't have to import it from Japan. Really saved on cost. I'm pretty excited. 5-disc Breath of the Wild complete soundtrack.

Well, hooray? I don't know much about the Zelda games, but I'm happy you didn't have to spend more than you needed to on this. :)

The actual image itself doesn't show up. (I even tried going directly to it)
But how the heck is the soundtrack 5 discs?

Found an image of it:

Supposedly was only going to be release in Japan exclusively. So how did you get it? :D

Also does the eye icon remind anyone else of Neverwinter Night's eye icon?

Breath of the Wild (if I am remembering correctly) is the newest one that was out on the Nintendo Switch - I played about 2 hours of it (very open world like) because I'd borrowed it. I do plan on purchasing it (when I get caught up on the majority of other games I need to finish; so hoping by then the price goes down or I can get it used) - but it's a pretty incredible game from what I played.

Sort of, but there are some significant differences. The only similarity is that it's a weeping eye, but that's it. For instance:

1. The Zelda Eye has three "pyramids" on top. The NWN Eye has "horns".
2. The Zelda Eye is fully open. The NWN Eye is half-closed.
3. The Zelda Eye has one tear, ready to drop. The NWN Eye has three tears, already dropped.

And so on ... the rest are different aesthetics around the eye. ;) They simply add to the different look.

(And that's not even mentioning this eye, which is different again...) ;)

Ah interesting. I linked to the image on Twitter. I can see it but maybe that's because I'm logged in on Twitter. Here's the image from Imgur. It's got 5 discs plus a little "play button" pin that pins onto your shirt or anything and has a headphones jack and 15 of the tracks on it. Pretty neat. As well as a booklet that's entirely in Japanese lol. It was just sitting there in a local store chain called PNP Games. The guy said it's been there forever and no one has bought it. I'm glad I got it. Don't know why it was there. I guess they ordered it thinking it would be a popular item?

The eye symbol is that of the Sheikah, an ancient tribe of people from the Zelda universe that form the basis of a lot of the content in Breath of the Wild.
