This note "From the Desk of Mike Corum."
Mike Corum was my friend Shawn's father. So clearly this note was scribbled while playing KQ2 at Shawn's house.
And judging by the handwriting, I'd say it's Shawn's writing (he was left handed) - and also because people have always said I have "girly" writing because it's "pretty."
It's also interesting to note the different labels on Disk 1 and Disk 2 of King's Quest 2...!?

"Whoever chooses to seek the lost key must have a stout heart." Good advice. (And a pint of stout, and all).
Wow - paper sleeves for 5.25" floppies. How long ago was that??

I am sure the "advice" is actually something in King's Quest 2.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2020 8:42 am "Whoever chooses to seek the lost key must have a stout heart." Good advice. (And a pint of stout, and all).

From here:
And... uh, all of the 5.25" had paper sleeves. That's how it protected the exposed part of the disk (unlike 3.5 disks that either had plastic or metal covers).

Re: In the KQ2 box we find...
Hmm. I haven't seen a 5.25" floppy since 1991 (or was it 1992)? Gosh. I still remember how exciting it was to feel the plastic of the 3.5" floppies, and how easy it was to protect their files from being over-written. Just flip the switch at the back! No more putting a shiny silver strip on the exposed bit of the 5.25-incher!
(I'm not sure why, but that last sentence sounded very dirty. That's definitely not the way I meant it!)
