Windows Vista & PQ Collection

Post by smith4190 »

Greetings, I just downloaded the Police Quest Collection from Gamestop.com.

I loved these games when i was a child, and thought it would be cool to play thru them again.. At any rate, when i click on the PQ icon, a menu pulls up that gives me the option to launch PQ 1-4 .. no matter which one i click on the DOSBox opens, then takes me right back to the menu to choose which game i'd like to play.. i went to DOSBox's website and d/l the newest version.. .72 or .73, i'm not sure and even when i try to load the games, it still comes up as DOSBox .63 ...So.. as you can see, i'm not extremely computer savy, but I'd still like to play these games that I just payed for. If anyone has any suggestions or information that could help, i'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.

I don't know if the Gamestop version is the same as the VU release from 2006, but it sounds like it may be. Try the PQ Collection 2006 DOSBox patch.
