I can find retro 3D games charming. I never grew up with the PSX (and I always ragged on it and compared it to the N64's superior graphics), but I did play older PC 3D games like Descent. Oh, we also had a Sega Saturn so games like Panzer Dragoon and Sonic R looked wonderfully outdated lol. It just doesn't bother me. I can understand why it does though. I hated the PSX for the same reason oddly enough. But that may have been because I was just such a Nintendo fanboy too. And MOE doesn't have the warped perspective texture problems that the PSX and other games of that era had.

While I'm waiting for my SQ1VGA box to arrive, I just noticed today a steal of a deal on an SQ5 CIB on ebay for a decent amount cheaper than the rest I've seen (and are currently available). Don't think they guy knew what he had. I quickly snagged it up...all I got left is SQ6 to find now.

They came. We just got back from a short 3-day vacation to a small cabin resort (great getaway time!). Less than an hour before we left on Monday, SQ5 arrived. When we pulled up today SQ1VGA was sitting on the doorstep. Pretty good timing I'd say. Now I just need SQ6, the Collection Series box again, and the Space Quest Collection (white/emblem cover). Maybe someday I may even perchance look into acquiring the Space Quest Trilogy box, though last I saw it was quite expensive.

All I want is that, and Black Cauldron (for the remainder of my colllection). I had Black Cauldron eons ago ... and it bugs me that somewhere between my moves (I think between San Diego to TN, or TN to San Diego) it vanished.

Both, however, tend to fetch a high price, for a game, I have multiple times over (for SQ) and once (old back up disks that I pulled the files from) for Black Cauldron.

SQ6 just came in. This completes my collection.

Well, except for the red-foil SQ3, the non-grid SQ1 black box, and the SQ1 "screenshot" box with the reversed photo of the Two Guys on the back.......and the collection boxes.
