King's Quest (Collection) 6 Glitch PROBLEMS!

Hi I have recently been working on completing King's Quest 6 in the King's Quest
1-7(2006) Collection and I have been unable to do certain things because the game stalls or glitches during certain sequences. Like when I try to get the spot between the wallflowers the dragon snapper plants start snapping and DONT STOP and I cant do anything but watch or exit the game. Also the same thing occurs when I am at the bookworm part and the second little guy comes out from the stack of books then the game stalls/glitches and i can only exit or restore my game. I remember this happening to me when i played the game about a decade ago trying to go into the minotaur's cave and the game stalled/glitched and woul not progress to the next scene. If there are any patches/downloads that would fix these bugs please let me know. I am very interested in completeing this game but have never been able to because of these bugs.

You aren't trying to use some old save games, are you? What is your OS and did you install the Windows version or the DOS? Did you use the SHP installer?

Well, I am running Windows XP(Home Edition) and I don't know which version I have installed. I don't know if you remember, but you told me to install the Collection into C:\Sierra\King's Quest Collection and then apply the DOSBox patch to that folder as well because the game would not work. After that, all the games played fine with perfect sound and everything except KQ6 keeps glitching and freezing. I also noticed last night that when I give sing-sing the love poem, he returns with the note and the game also freezes after that(I get the crown(busy, I guess) icon and I can't walk anywhere, or do anything but restore/restart/or change the game speed or volume. I just started playing the game last night, so I think the save games are fairly new. And since I have the collection version (BestSeller Series which has Mannanan holding a crystal ball with a knight and dragon in the ball) all the games were installed the same way I guess. I then applied the DOSBox KQ Collection Patch(2006) to the folder which I have the game installed(C:\Sierra\King's Quest Collection) to get the games to work because the default folder C:\Program Files\Sierra\etc. would not play the games. You should have had two or three shortcut for the game after applying the patch. One for the DOS version and two for the Windows version. One of the Windows shortcuts is the original interpreter, which has issues under XP and another one that works under XP, but has no support for the intro movie. Which of theses are you using?

Actually, after applying the patch I use the desktop icon that goes to the icons for all 7 games, the I choose the (only) KQ6 icon to play it. Ive tried the other icons in the C:\ProgramFiles\Sierra\KQCollection and they all give me error messages. Only the icons in C:\Sierra\KQCollection will run the game. I clicked on the properties of the KQ6 icon(minotaur) and it said "C:\Program Files\DOSBox- 0.73\DOSBox.exe"-non console
There was only one KQ 6 Icon when I applied the patch.

Also if it helps you any further w/e one i'm using let me watch the full intro w/out any problems whatsoever.

It sounds like that you did not uninstall the patch before you moved the game and reapplied the patch and everything is all mixed up. I would recommend that you uninstall the patch and the games then delete the "C:\Program Files\Sierra\King's Quest Collection(TM)" folder and the "Sierra\King's Quest Collection" folder in the Start Menu. Re-download the patch to be sure that you have the latest version and reinstall the game in "C:\Sierra\King's Quest Collection" then run the patch, pointing it to the "C:\Sierra\King's Quest Collection" folder.
