Ok, so a bit of misdirection. I haven't "done" the soundtrack.....yet. ;) I am indeed the composer for the game though. They wanted to announce my being on the team today on my birthday which was nice. I even got a nice in-game styled avatar to parade around now!

The Summer Daze Kickstarter just closed a little under an hour ago and we made ~6k over our goal! We were worried there for a while but we made like $14k just yesterday alone and it spiked right up. People really came out to support it and we couldn't be more thrilled! We also made two stretch goals for mini games and extra in-game animations. We fell a bit short of our voice acting stretch goal though, but hey! Anything's possible :).

Ah yes I guess you have to be a backer. Sorry, I was under the mistaken impression for some reason that anyone could leave general comments, but only backers (people who "backed" the project with a pledge) could comment on campaign updates. Perhaps email Transolar Games then. Or hop on their Discord if you use that.

Do you own Rogue to Redemption, their first game? It also runs in the Unity engine. Perhaps there's some correlation of the Rogue doesn't work either that could be tracked down. I just don't know I'm afraid.

It seems that the game will have cartoony graphics and I like this. I was very disappointed when Hero-U turned out to be 3D..

Alas, it seems I've missed it. But I don't have a Switch anyway.

If you enjoy RPGs and/or Quest for Glory's "punny" sense of humour -- really, do I even have to say that? -- then you'll enjoy Hero-U. :)

If you enjoy 3rd-person tactical fight scenes, and rogue/sneak tactics (as seen in many RPGs, and which Hero-U features) ... then you'll enjoy Hero-U.

It also features:

1. A "friendship/rivalry" meter (as in RPGs since at least ME).
2. Several fun ways to help you earn money and hone your rogue skills (depending on which ones you wish - sneaking/fighting, laying traps, gambling etc).
3. Three "electives" you can take (to give your hero tactical advantages during fights, which are tough to start with. You can choose either magic (protection/extra damage during fights), science (deal extra damage), or apothecary/healing (self-explanatory).
4. Several quests to help your hero make friends/create rivals.
5. Several "mini-quests" to make friends and hone skills.
6. Etc.

Combat-wise, as the game goes on, you face tougher opponents - ultimately, ones that you will need magic protection from, and that you need magic to harm. But by then, if you've made enough money or honed your combat skills, you can either buy your protection or loot it off an enemy. ;)

It really isn't as long as that list sounds. ;) The game lasts for 50 "game days", but I found that, in a two-hour session, I could run through between 7-10 "game days". (My first few run-throughs took longer, of course).

So, if you like, you can finish the game in 10-15 hours (obviously not all at once). ;) It's a fun game! I recommend it.

I plan to play it. One day. Just not felt compelled to do so.
