Sorry, please remind me: who is Ruth? *blush*

 Heaaaal! "Beam me down, Scottie". ;)

Wow, the Forge of Eternal Flame! That was a convenient shortcut. ;)

Why is Pawl running to the Forge and no-one is following?

 Yup, Peter's chickening out. I'm surprised no-one is mocking him. *sing-song* Peter is a chicken! Nyah nyah nyah, etc.! ;)

Hmm ... Since Pawl can do enchantments now, why doesn't he enchant his own weapon now? Or anyone else's? Or their armour? ;)

 Love the out-takes

"Inhabiteted" "It's you who must strike the dragon. The f***!!!"

"This whole quest thing does not kick rocks any more ... I don't need 20,000 gold that badly. Agghhh!" ;)

Yep, an episode full of dramatic tension and glowy-talky-sword. Thanks, Tawm! :D Bring on the dragon ... ;)

Ruth is Andrea the Assassin. Ruth got converted by the "Crimson Draco Mother" (in the dragon's human form) after Grayson had broke up with Ruth (takes you right to that moment!). So the Crimson Draco Mother, promised Ruth revenge against Grayson if she helped recover the Blade of Destiny (which was made to kill Dragons). Ruth revealed (in a recent episode) that she had changed her name and dyed her hair black to "look and sound more evil."

After the defeat of the Crimson Draco Mother, Ruth saw the error of her ways and dyed her hair back to blond and took her original name. (takes you to that moment).

The real story behind the scenes is - in Season 1 and 2, Andrea the Assassin is voiced by Christi Molina (who has dark hair). Due to some issues, Christi could not commit to another season so we brought on Amanda (who is blond in real life). So I changed up the story - to make that happen.

Something similar happened with Pawl the Dorf, originally voiced by Paul Molina in Season 1 and 2, but he couldn't do Season 3, so we got a different voice actor (Stephen) - but didn't bother changing the character's name since I'd already planned on changing Andrea's to Ruth.

As for enchanting weapons - Pawl the Dorf was specifically trained to just repair the Blade of Destiny. :)

Hmm. So Andrea was going to betray Grayson after this episode. But then she became Ruth and decided not to betray Grayson. ;) Does the Crimson Draco Mother know about this?

Well, the Crimson Draco Mother is alluded to having been slain (Episode 43, when Peter and Grayson wake up in prison). Which is why the Blade of Destiny's flame was extinguished - each time it slays a dragon - it expends magic doing so - and must be reforged. The other prisoner (same episode) confirms Crimson Draco Mother was destroyed.

Oh, no worries! Not only was it 20 episodes ago - but there was gap where life got too hectic - and it was 3 months between Episode 60 and 61 getting done!

I forgot to post this one - came here to say I was working on Episode 64 (it's a pain on this episode, for many reasons!) - and saw I'd not posted Episode 63.

EPISODE 63: THE FALL OF A HERO :
#NeverendingNights #Machinima #NWN #Neverwinter #NeverwinterNights
This is it! This episode we finally discover the secret of the Dragon of Silver Lake – first mentioned all the way back in Episode 09! (Talk about the long build up!) Is it truly dead? Is it alive? Is it even a dragon? BUT! One of the heroes will NOT live to see the end of the episode… who will perish? The Episode that sure to break the internet! (If you share it and tell the world how awesome the show is, that is!)

EPISODE 64: RISE OF A HERO
Grayson has been slain! And now Peter is alone - face to face with the Dragon of Silver Lake - what hope has he of defeating a dragon that's undead?

Episode 63

Where the hell did all these creatures come from? Good question. I think I recognise orcs and goblins, yes?

Second scene (ends in 1:45-1:46) - what are those? I think I recognise a very high-level golem (the one with glowy eyes?), but what are the others - ice golem and nature golem?

Umm ... Pawl's voice (in the third scene, around 2:38-2:40) can't be heard. (After he says "I'd rather not die 83.33 times. I'd rather not die once." (Aaaaaaaaand then it cuts out. :( What does he say?)

This is just before Peter says "Right. Hey, Pawl..." etc.

I think I also recognise a fire elemental, water elemental, air elemental, and earth elemental.

 Peter was on 394 monsters. Is this a reference to the Legolas-Gimli rivalry during the siege of Helm's Deep and the Battle of Pelennor Fields?

"That STILL only counts as one!"

Scene 4 ... then you must die!

Hold on, something doesn't make sense here. Dracoliches don't breathe fire. And the fire enveloped Peter too, but Peter is unharmed?

Gee, what a place to leave it. :( Hold on. The dragon said that Peter BROUGHT him the Sword of Destiny? Yes, it makes sense that he knew about it, but the dragon needs the blade? Does the dragon want to die?

By the way, I think I finally figured out why the font (for writing "Episode [number] and [title]", e.g. "Episode 63: The Fall Of A Hero") looks so familiar. Is it the same font that was used in the LOTR films?

 The only thing missing here was Peter yelling "You killed my best friend! YOU BASTARD!" </SouthPark> ;)
========================================
Episode 64

OK, so Peter is Grayson's half-brother. That explains a lot (like why Grayson puts up with Peter). ;)

Peter lies about killing the dragon to spare Grayson's feelings. That <almost> makes up for all his earlier stupidity. Almost. ;)

<ECHO> THIS KICKS ROCKS! </ECHO> Moment of Awesome. :D

You know, for a dracolich, the Dragon of Silver Lake sure is a wimp. :P

So ... is this it? The end? :| But what about Pawl? And Ruth? Do they go back to help them (or resurrect them)? :|

Correct.

NWN custom content has some crazy stuff you can import....
So it's an Emerald, Sapphire and Maztica Golem.

This is just before Peter says "Right. Hey, Pawl..." etc.
Sort of intentional. He's supposed to be muttering to himself.
Rath Darkblade wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:34 am  Peter was on 394 monsters. Is this a reference to the Legolas-Gimli rivalry during the siege of Helm's Deep and the Battle of Pelennor Fields?
Correct. Found it fitting - Peter being (half) elf with a bow.
And Pawl the Dorf being who he is talking to.
Rath Darkblade wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:34 am Hold on, something doesn't make sense here. Dracoliches don't breathe fire. And the fire enveloped Peter too, but Peter is unharmed?
You are assuming D&D world? :)
So yes, it does breathe fire. :) Mostly because that was the best visual.

Grayson, not Peter. But the Dragon of Silver Lake assumes if the dragon has it - that means no one else has it - and no one can "kill" him for lack of a better word.

Correct. It's literally called "Tolkien" font.
Rath Darkblade wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:34 am OK, so Peter is Grayson's half-brother. That explains a lot (like why Grayson puts up with Peter). ;)
Yup - the flashbacks Peter sees after - shows the scene from Episode 42 when both Peter and Grayson see the figure and say, "Dad?" There's also other hints, like when Dean the Dragon is talking to the Resurrection Priest and says, "No, there is another" (Star Wars reference; but refering to Peter)
Rath Darkblade wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:34 am Peter lies about killing the dragon to spare Grayson's feelings. That <almost> makes up for all his earlier stupidity. Almost. ;)
Yeah - Peter is a pretty good friend. :)
Rath Darkblade wrote: Tue Mar 02, 2021 6:34 am You know, for a dracolich, the Dragon of Silver Lake sure is a wimp. :P
Well only one thing could kill him - which is hinted throughout the series. The Blade of Destiny is the Dragon's "Krytonite."

One more episode - Episode 65.

Answers your questions.

And sets up something... that I never did anything with. But still get the itch of doing it.

The end of the final episode will show you what I was teasing.

It will also explain something folks on the NeN forum way back when - thought was an "error" that kept happening - but was actually intentional.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I had a lot of fun discussing it.

Though I came into the series more than halfway through, I also enjoyed it.

(Now I just need to make and watch from the start to see what I've missed...)

Thank you! Definitely watch it from the start.

The writing in the first five was ... all right. We will still trying to figure out what we wanted to do. By Episode 10, I had it all planned out.
