 All right, You win the "Let's definitely not make that game" trophy. ;)

Red Sharon - Your objective is to paint Sharon Stone red while she tries to evade you. That's it. It's a pointless game (you get no points), but it's fun ... for about ... I'unno, a minute-and-a-half?

Anne Hathaway: The Screen Saver. It's a screen saver. Of Anne Hathaway. Stranded on an island. Doing silly stuff. But in torn, tattered, skimpy clothing! From the same company that brought you Laura Blows At The Colonel's Request.

Eh? I'm confused. When did Sierra make an Anne Hathaway screen saver (or anything similar)?

Anne Hathaway = Johnny Castaway.

And as a side note - there's been a ton of games that were not Sierra related in this thread. We even covered board games.

Fair enough. I just forgot about "Johnny Castaway". :)

I'm sure we did a ton of non-Sierra-related games here. Isn't that one of the rules of internet forums? A thread will always get derailed at some point, and then someone will say "OK, back on topic"? :)

Yeah - for me, as long as all parties are having fun I don't care if a topic veers off. If it generates enough off topic content - I usually break those messages into their own so it can continue to flourish.

I think Collector trusts me as a forum admin, which is why he gave me my special powers here, because he was a part of my original personal forums which was pretty busy back in the day. :)

Back on topic!

(See what I did there?)

Legend of Nerd-ondia. A land ruled by nerds - but the problem is - all the nerds have lost their funk! No, not their funky smell - their funk - as in telling internet based jokes, like "Why did all my browser cookies disappear? ... Because I downloaded a Cookie Monster virus!" haha ahaha ahahahaha.... Anyway - you, yes, you - have to help them find their Nerdy funk again!

 OK, obviously it's Legend of Kyrdania. But I've never played LoK, so I'm curious. Is that what Kyrdania looks like? :)

In a similar vein:

Legends of Nord-onia. A multi-game series, retelling ALL the old Nordic/Scandinavian/etc. stories from Norse mythology. In each game, the player takes the part of The Main Character(TM), regardless of whether that is a human, a deity, or another supernatural entity, and must struggle against immense odds to fulfil the ends of the story! Huzzah! ;)

For instance, the player could alternate between Loki and Thor (whose hammer is stolen by the Frost Giants and hidden below ground). Loki could fast-talk the giants to find where the hammer is, and Thor could .................. disguise himself as Freya, retrieve his hammer and kick Frost Giant butt. (Don't laugh. that's how the story actually goes!) :P

It's a painting in digital someone did of the opening screen.

That said - if you've never played it, I highly recommend it. The first two play like King's Quest. Only puzzle I hate in the first one is this:

And if you play it, you know what I mean.

I would also like to play "Legends of Nord-onia". :) I agree, it's not too far-fetched for a game. How about:

No-lease Quest. A game in which you play a ... *ahem* Not-so-good tenant who tries to convince his landlord to extend the lease. Good luck! ;)

(I know it's a silly idea. I just couldn't resist the title) :)

Text Her: It's a futurist version of Larry who was last seen headed for Uranus - and found many years later as the planet was being cultivated for minerals - to be in suspended animation! Now Larry needs to try and figure out how this modernized world works! (Spoofing Thexter)

Sexter: The stunning sequel to Text Her - now, Larry is more mech than man - and he's all about sexting! Can Larry learn this whole new "sexting" thing?

I found a workaround to this if you’re playing via DOSBox. Requires a little hex editing but nothing too tricky.

It’s also very easy if you use ScummVM. Just type “Birthstones” into the debug prompt and it’ll tell you which ones you need.

Damn it, I knew that sounded too good for it to have been an original idea from my brain!
