I was playing Woodruff a couple weeks ago for the first time, when I ran into a snag. According to the only two walkthroughs I can find for this game, I'm supposed to get the Advisory Syllable from the Time Wiseman when I give him his syllable. But when I did that, he just said a couple lines and didn't give me anything.
Before I restart the game and try again, is there something else I was supposed to do to get the Advisory Syllable, or did I just happen to hit a bug?

Did you click on him again?
Sometimes you need to click on them several times to exhaust all dialogs with them...![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Finding the Advisory Syllable
I can't believe it. It worked.
I remember spending a whole twenty minutes in that room trying every possible command, and both talking to him and giving him his sylalble several times. All I did this time was give him his syllable twice and then talk to him.
I must have to talk to him right after the syllable, otherwise the programming doesn't work right.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Good eye. It was just the forum name, every thing else was correct. It's what I get for staying up late setting up the forums again in a hurry after the meltdown.
