The "pass out" (i.e. "fall" emote) is the one I'm referring to. The same animation is used for when your PC dies.
So ... when you die in NWN1, the game makes you slip on a banana peel? That ... is unintentionally hilarious.

It makes sense that the "fall" emote is the death emote. Because the fall forward emote looks very death like.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 6:15 am So ... when you die in NWN1, the game makes you slip on a banana peel? That ... is unintentionally hilarious.
So that emote may officially be called "Death" - I've always labelled simply as fall, since that's what I was using it for.

Ah, fair enough. I forgot that when you die in NWN, you fall forward. I thought the game shared the "faint" emote with the "death" emote - so when you die, you slip on a banana peel and fall backward.
That might happen in something like The Three Stooges, but not in real life

A new music video to highlight Travis' music.
This one is "Dragon's Lair."

Nifty! Very threatening. I like it.
I like how it took one sword-swipe to kill a dragon.

Nice. I liked it very much! Thanks, Tawm.
It sounds like this was recorded on real instruments. Was it? Sorry to ask, but it's a bit hard to tell these days -- even Skyrim's music (or at least the Dragonborn theme) wasn't real people singing, I heard.

I know Travis plays a number of instruments (primarily stuff like the trombone) - but I also know he had a musical studio with some incredible software.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:37 pm Nice. I liked it very much! Thanks, Tawm.

So it could be real instruments, or a mixture.

Cool! I wish I could play an instrument (other than my voice, I mean). Still, I do have a fairly good microphone hooked up to my computer, so I can use it for recording (or just goofing around ... like the bit below).

Re: There and back again; a Neverending Tale. Neverending Nights
Got up way too early this morning, so I did another one.
This one was titled "Forbidden" provided to us by the incredibly talented Travis Richards. I don’t recall if I ever actually used this piece or not. However, listening to it – it reminded me of this forbidden love feeling; and so the emphasis is on Andrea (starting with when Peter and Grayson first enter Galana, and Grayson eludes to an ex-girlfriend that lives in the town).

Ah, unrequited love. When person A loves person B, but B does not return A's feelings. Is that what you mean by "forbidden" love, Tawm?
The music is very appropriate for Grayson's feelings. Nicely done

Re: There and back again; a Neverending Tale. Neverending Nights
Indeed. In the series, you learn that Grayson had dated Andrea (whose true name was Ruth - she adopted Andrea as a name to make a sinister "Andrea the Assassin" name) after being recruited by the Crimson Dragon (in her human form, seen in a flashback that Andrea/Ruth tells). And we learn that Grayson and Ruth/Andrea had been dating; and things went sour - and the whole reason Ruth went all "dark side" and changed her name to Andrea was to get revenge against Grayson for breaking her heart.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 2:11 am Ah, unrequited love. (The real story, naturally - is that, the actress who voiced Andrea only did so for Season 1; and wasn't able to for Season 2 and 3, so we recruited another woman to voice her; and she kept the name Andrea, through Season 2, but in Season 3, did a "redemption" thing where she took back her "original name" - this was because all of the "main" characters and a lot of the supporting characters (except for the goblins) - their names are based off their middle names - so I wanted to be able to give the actress the same treatment in Season 3 and rename Andrea to her middle name, which was Ruth).
But the idea was always there, that Andrea had "turned evil" because Grayson had broken her heart.

Aha! Well, she didn't have to change her name. She could've become Ruth the Ruthless. Or Ruth the Ravaging. Or Ruth the Ruthlessly Ravaging!
And, once Grayson and Ruth patched things up, Ruth could become a Paladin and change her name to Ruth the Really Radiant. (Sorry)

Yeah, but it would have been weird to change her "evil" name (from Andrea the Assassin to Ruth the Ravaging) - since she'd already adopted an evil alias.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 4:29 am Aha! So it was when she turned good (thus "Ruth the Redeemed") that I changed the name.
