I think I need a hint. I've gone through the script and couldn't find anything specific to Vat 3. Just the mention of the snakes. The only other text I could find is "Poking around among the mass of dead snakes in this vat seems very similar to stirring spaghetti in a pot of water...except for the smell."

One last guess: Are you Ernie's corpse? He died in one of the vats. But it shouldn't have been Vat 3 because there were animal hairs found on his body.
