GABRIEL KNIGHT: CURSE OF THE WERECHEETAH

As Gabriel entered the bookshop, Grace was busy CATALOGING the books. “Det. Mosely called,” she said. “He said that there was another victim and wanted you to RUN.”

Gabriel drove to the CLEAR swamp where Det. Mosely and a bunch of police cars were. In the middle of a clearing was a body covered in a OCTARINE plastic sheet. “You might want to brace yourself,” Det. Mosely said WONDERFULLY. “This is one DISGUSTING crime scene.” Gabriel pulled away the sheet and saw what Mosely meant. The body was QUIETLY mutilated and missing its ARM.

“No doubt about it,” Gabriel said SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUSLY. “This was done by a wereCHEETAH.”

“We found a WATER near the body. We think it might be a clue.”

To be continued…

KING'S QUEST XI: QUEST FOR PROLETARIAT

King Graham was stunned. "So what is it you need? That you would jump out like that?"

The orc shrugs, "I was just going to ask if you have any extra ENCHILADAS?"

King Graham checks his [NOUN] - and like a good adventurer, he does! "Since, I do, would you be able to tell me where to find some PROLETARIAT?"

"PROLETARIAT, the orc asks," confused, itching his [BODY PART]. "I've heard the [MONSTER] of [FICTIONAL PLACE] may have some."

"Thank you," King Graham tips his hat as he mounts his horse again. "[EXPRESSION]!"

The orc, confused, shrugs and shouts back, "[EXPRESSION!]"

As King Graham rides, he reaches the Lake of [NOUN]. He turns to his horse and says, "[VERB] back to Daventry. I must [VERB] across the lake alone."

Well. That made no sense.

POLICE QUEST LXI: LET'S SCARF DONUTS AND BEAT UP PEDESTRIANS!

When Sonny Bonds was still a rookie, one day he was foot patrol when he heard a high-pitched scream. "My baby! My baby! They've taken my baby!"

Running towards him was a desperate-looking thug with [COLOUR], spiky hair and wearing a leather [PIECE OF CLOTHING], a pair of jeans, and [COLOUR] boots, and clutching a [TYPE OF DOG].

With nary a pause for his own safety, Sonny immediately [VERB]ed the man to the ground, grabbed the dog and approached the still-hysterical woman. "Here you are, ma'am," he [VERB]ed. "Your ba--"

"CUT!!!" The voice seemed to come from on high. It came, in fact, from a fat man in a very high chair. He wore a [COLOUR]-coloured sweater over a blue shirt, black slacks and sneakers. His [BODY PART] bulged beneath his spectacles. "What the HELL are you doing!?" He [VERB]ed. "We're shooting a movie!!!"

Sonny could feel the armies of embarrassment marching up his face. "I'm [ADVERB] sorry, sir," he said. "But I'm a policeman and I thought I witnessed a crime."

"NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" the man [VERB]ed. "What's your name, young man? I will call your sergeant and have you [VERB]ed out!!! D'you hear me?! [VERBed] out!!!"

Sonny took a long, deep breath. "Do you mean to say that you don't know who I am?"

"[ADVERB] not, young man!"

"Thank god," Sonny said, and before anyone could intervene, he turned around and marched away, ignoring the [VERB]ing man.

Later, at Lytton's Krunchy Krusty Kreme, he was recounting the episode to Officer Steve while munching a [FRUIT]-flavoured donut. "So there I was, Steve, right on the cusp of solving the crime and delivering the stupid mutt back to that ungrateful lady, and do I get any thanks? I think not--"

Just then, an APB came over the radio. "Calling all cars. Calling all cars. We have a [TWO-DIGIT NUMBER]-[ANOTHER TWO-DIGIT NUMBER] at Caffeine Carol's. All units attend. I repeat: all units attend. This is not a drill, people. [MILITARY-TYPE PHRASE]!"

"Ah, hell," Steve said. "We'd better hoof it. Finish that story later, it'll keep. Come on, I'll give you a ride."

THE END
