I'm not from this place
But I am in this city!
Not made from silk or lace,
but still, I'm very pretty.
Are you the arena?
"...not from this place..." An arena is more associated with Rome and Silmaria is based on ancient/mythical Greece.

Re: Who/What am I? (The Yes/No) Game.
Correct! Yes, your reasoning is spot on - that's exactly what I was thinking of re: the arena. (It even looks like the Colosseum. Fun fact: the word 'Colosseum' doesn't translate as 'arena'. It comes from the same linguistic root as our word 'colossal', i.e. 'gigantic'. Both words come from colosseus (“gigantic”), from the Ancient Greek kolossiaîos or kolossós, i.e. “giant statue”). Any giant statue, like the giant Buddhas in Afghanistan, can be called a Colossus. The Colossus of Rhodes, one of the ancient Wonders of the World, is another good example.
So why is it called 'the Colosseum'? Another fun fact: originally it was called the Flavian Amphitheatre, because it was built and finished by the Flavius family of Emperors. However, it was changed to the Colosseum because the Roman emperor Nero, who came before the Flavians, decreed that a giant statue of himself should be placed at the entrance to his gigantic golden palace. Once Nero was overthrown and his palace demolished, no-one knew what to do with the statue. It was 30 metres or 98 feet high and made entirely of bronze, so it wasn't something you could easily move. It remained where it was until nearly a century later, when the emperor Hadrian ordered it to be moved near the Amphitheatre and modified to look like Sol, the Sun God. Soon afterwards, people started calling the entire place the 'Colosseum', and the name stuck).
Sorry, I'm a word-nerd and history-nerd. Your turn, NBS!

Is this Quest game set on earth (e.g. Colonel's Bequest) or earth-like setting (e.g. KQ's Daventry), rather than other settings?

Re: Who/What am I? (The Yes/No) Game.
Yes
It's actually not a Quest game (I answered "no to Tawmis' question). But to answer your question: Yes, I am in an earth or earth-like setting.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 3:25 am Is this Quest game set on earth (e.g. Colonel's Bequest) or earth-like setting (e.g. KQ's Daventry), rather than other settings?
