... what are some things you would have liked to have seen?

Maybe story wise?
Character wise?
Voice actors?

I mean... I would like to hope there was something... because, I remember loving Myst, Riven, etc., so I'd like to think that Lighthouse could somehow be redeemed...

I guess it could be. For me, the problem with Lighthouse was that it was trying to be Myst with its abstract puzzles and an inventory-based point-and-click adventure game. That just complicates things. "Is this not working because I haven't solved the puzzle or do I need an item to make something work?" It needed to pick one or the other. Even if this were fixed, I didn't really find anything particularly compelling about the plot or setting.

Agreed - the worse part of Lighthouse (which there were many) is the inventory items were often so odd, and there was no way to get more info really, and you'd somehow need to figure it out... (same issue I have with Phantasmagoria II when you go into Dimension X...)
