There's an issue where the audio in the game is so loud (no matter if I turn it down) that it sounds crackly and distorted. Any ideas?

The launcher won't work. Use the individual shortcuts in the start menu for each game. The build of DOSBox that Qbix gave me is just the DOSBox executable. Unzip it into your DOSBox-0.70 folder, overwriting DOSBox.exe.
