What's wrong with this picture?

There's at least three things wrong with this - maybe more.

I thought this would be easier since I'm more familiar with King's Quest:

1. The sky in the window being purple
2. The wastebasket
3. The papers on the desk

If it has something to do with the stuff on the shelves, I'll never find it.

I'm not familiar with King's Quest 3 (this is KQ3, right?) or many of the earlier (pre-KQ4) games, but NBS's answer seems logical to me.

1. Yes, I changed the sky color as a homage to King's Quest 2. When Sir Graham goes through the final door. I also expanded the greenery in that window. There was a hint of desert in the original.
2. Correct on the wastebasket! It's difficult when I want to recolor something and only have 16 base colors to use!
3. The paper on the desk are untouched, however the mat on the desk was recolored.

Additionally, the map in the background - I reversed land and water.
You are correct the red thing on the top shelf is actually on the shelf below, next to the light blue thing. I took the two things on the top shelf and placed them above the shelf.
One last thing - the wall colors - I flipped the light grey and dark grey. So the interior walls are actually light grey, and the grey outside the window is dark grey.

Yes, it is. (In other words, it's not a change)

The other differences are smaller and more subtle. So ... why not look at the original and try again?

I wonder how long it would take Tawm to find my changes, given that LSL is his favourite series (I think?)

Silas' eyes look off - his eye lids in the dialogue - and even on him himself
which made me look at everyone else - and the guy on the lower left looks to have a cold, because he has a reddish nose?
And did you kill the plant in the upper left?


And I think - without checking...
Is the wall repainted? Is it really that lime green?

While I love LSL, I always talk about how LSL5 was my least favorite. lol

Oops! Sorry. I guess I was so focused on changing the image, I wasn't thinking about the words. *blush*

Besides, Hollywood certainly allows women to be sexy. (Just look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, for instance. Women don't have to emphasize their sexual organs in order to be sexy).

But if by "sexy" you mean the kind of images that appear in LSL -- especially LSL7 (and especially if you use the Easter eggs) -- then no, Hollywood tends to shy away from that. (Surprise, surprise).

Correct on all fronts! I thought you would kill this.

- Silas Scruemall's glasses are red; they should be purple.

- The plant on the left should be green; it is brown.

- The guy downwards from Biffie (with the sunglasses) has a red nose. It should be pink.

Also, one more thing I changed:

Biffie (on the left, wearing a leisure suit) should have black-and-navy-blue hair. I retouched it with a little sky-blue instead.

I did say that all/most of the changes were subtle. Your turn!

Hmm. I'm pretty sure that the walls of the castle were never as bright pink as all that. I'm dazzled.

I'm also pretty sure that the royal family don't have green ones.

Third thing ... hmm: IIRC, the shield on the left shouldn't be "torn", but more "solid".

The green eyes.
The hat on the ground. It should be flying through the air at the end of KQ3.
I don't seem to remember the marble pattern on the raised area where the throne sits.
I don't think there are two thrones.
I'm not sure if Rosella wears a crown.
