Completely wild, very random, quite possibly wrong guess: are you the copy of the "Lytton Tribune" that Sonny reads at the start of PQ1?

You face the music .................................................................................................. there's a story in it about Sonny being nominated for "Officer of the Year"
Today is happy and sad ............................................................................................. happy, because you're nominated for an award; sad, because an alarming increase in drugs, prostitution, and homicide
Up, up, and away... ................................................................................................. there's a story about "President Hickle" going bird-watching in "Smugsville" for "the red-bellied swamp coddlers" (and describing their mating dance as spectacular as "the golden-crowned scum sucker")

Am I right?

Today is happy and sad ....................................................... it's Jack's birthday ... but his wife is leaving him, and his family life's a mess

Up, up, and away But not in the sky........................................ the dancer "loses" her balloons, which float up to the ceiling
