Restoring History Quiz

Post by SierraDude81 »

Hello Everyone!

I recently read online (where else!) that it's possible to edit files and restore the history quiz. Kid me had fun with the word search (And occasionally saying naughty words when getting hanged)

It'd be fun to revisit that nostalgia, and attempt to annoy my ipad-addicted nephews with it when they get older (You mean you haveta type your answer? That's like a baby's toy!)
The Procestuousity begins here!

Are you talking about the CP? Version 3 (from the MacNeill brothers 'Software Farm') of the game had no CP. There were two cracks for the Sierra releases. The original crack created timer issues. The later one by HWM did not, but both skipped the CP. These involved hex editing the VOL/DIR files. I guess you could re-edit them back to their original values, but you would have to find out what they were. If you have version 3 I think the CP was removed, not just bypassed.
