A free-looking camera perhaps? Hmm...

No One Lives Forever?

There's only one left in the NOLF series: Contract J.A.C.K., though I don't see the link with "wood-shampoo".

No, it's not Contract J.A.C.K.. To be honest, I'd forgotten all about that game. :P

Hint: A Sierra character's wife makes an appearance in this game, but she is only an NPC and shown briefly.

Random: SWAT 3?

EDIT: By the way, I forgot to explain my screenshot earlier. In SQ5 at that moment if you pull one of the fuses out of the holes in your ship in that background it will cut the palette down to 16 colours if in VGA mode and will cut it down to 4 colours (CGA) in EGA mode. It's an easter egg. I'm surprised nobody else ran into that lol.

MI got it!

The term "wood shampoo" is police jargon for "using less than lethal force to gain voluntary compliance." Considering the nature of the game and that you're supposed to take as many suspects in alive and with minimal force, I thought it fit. :)

Oh and by the way... Sonny Bonds' wife, Marie, is in the bank mission. She's not an important character in the game, but her appearance was a small nod to the original PQ games.

Sonny appears as a playable character in SWAT 2 and he's your CO in SWAT 4. :D

Just so I know, since I never played the game, not do I intend to, what has SWAT 3 in common with Gabriel Knight 3, beside the numeral? Is SWAT based on the same engine?

If it isn't, they're both within the same era and both in 3D. Actually I think they were released around fairly the same time.

SWAT 3 used a modified version of the same engine that GK3 used.

Thanks, I didn't know that.

About the ladder, could it be Return to Krondor?
