Ah! Shelock Holmes! I'm a huge, huge, huge sherlockian myself, but I must say that Arthur Conan Doyle's other works, especially the weird and supernatural tales, are almost as good. Definitely one of my favorite authors.
Ah, but are you a Bow Street Runner? ;)

I've tried reading Sherlock Holmes, but could never get into it. Sorry. :( On the other hand, do plays count? I own the complete plays of Oscar Wilde and Henrik Ibsen, and have also read two of Arthur Miller's best plays - "The Crucible" and "Death of a Salesman". Naturally, I own the complete Shakespeare and (although he never wrote plays) the complete Edgar Allan Poe.
Shakar wrote:I have read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. Amazing.
Agreed! I've read The Hobbit multiple times - it especially helps to pick me up when I'm feeling sick. Don't know why! As for the LOTR trilogy... I'm not surprised it took Tolkien so long to write this. Creating a new, complete world is very difficult. (I've been trying this myself, although on a much-reduced scale, for the past 8 years (albeit VERY part-time!)) ;)
Shakar wrote:Do comic books/graphic novels count? Because I have a ton of those as well
Why shouldn't they count? ;) I'm a huge Terry Pratchett fan, and I have two or three of the graphic novels as well - they're great fun. ;) Here's one, and here's another. ;)

Reading multiple books at the same time is a very bad habit, but besides inching my way through Bokkerijders, I'm reading both Steppenwolf (Hesse) and The Stars' Tennis Balls by Stephen Fry.

I've been catching up on Mercedes Lackey's different series lately and enjoying them. I hadn't read a novel based in Valdemar for a while. Plus, she had this really cool novella about a supernatural haunting of an MMORPG, which was a fun bit of urban fantasy.

I also just read a Kim Harrison graphic novel, which actually did a pretty good job of translating the characters from her novels into a visual format.

*waves at Shakar* :)

*waves back at Maia* It's been a long time :)

I also love the Dark Tower graphic novels. I actually have a lot that I have bought but need to read. I'm terrible  I must read Richard Castle's Deadly Storm.

Oh that reminds me!! I have read all three Nikki Heat novels. I love that it follows the show and has Nathan Fillion's picture in the end.

Finished The Stars' Tennis Balls. Damn you Stephen Fry for robbing me of sleep! :)

Found Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire at the book café and brought it along, will start on it this evening and/or after I finished Steppenwolf, which is an amazing output.

Except that as one of the comments note, it is much like a microfiche reader.

Those crazy people. I love seeing old concepts that people came up with.

Adding to the list: The Hunger Games trilogy. Well...I'm almost done with Catching Fire and will be on Mockingjay soon. So far, I'm loving it.

Oh! Is it her son or husband who is finishing some unfinished works?

It's her son. She's been divorced for years. That one wasn't unfinished. They have co-authored 3 or 4 previous books and he has written a few stand-alone books set in the Pern universe. I acquired another autographed copy of one of her books from another series that I love.
