When you say "bugs up his ass" do you mean that literally? I don't care if "bugs" means insects, programming errors, or whatever. I just want to know if the "where" in this case is accurate and not just a saying.

It's all figurative. The main character just met with someone who's very crabby and has the disposition of a bad tempered gorilla. A metaphor. :)

The first crabby character that comes into my mind is Willy from Sins of the Father, but I doubt that this will be right.
