Yes, in the world of Hollywood women become invisible after their 30s unless they're Betty White or maybe Hellen Mirren.

So many stupid reboots. So little time.

Helen Mirren would make a good Miss Marple. Why do they have to make everything "hipper". Next they'll be remaking Casablanca with a cast of 12 year olds.

Very much agreed. David Suchet keeps getting cast as Hercule Poirot, and David is in his mid-60s, yet everyone keeps agreeing that his Poirot is one of the best ever seen. (This is, perhaps, because Poirot himself keeps pushing back middle-age). ;)

Yes, I'm a Poirot fan (and David Suchet fan). So sue me. ;)

I've read most, if not all of the Poirot books and I'm convinced David Suchet IS
Hercule Poirot. Just like i'm convinced to this day that Edmund Gwenn (see Miracle on 34th Street) is Santa Claus. :)
