Yes, surprised they did what they did (I am sure they're following the book; just didn't see it coming).

Somehow I missed this thread originally.
I recall thinking some of the female nudity was a little unnecessary, but overall it didn't seem highly gratuitous. Yes, there were breasts, but it wasn't like they were making a big deal about it. They were just there, when you might expect them to be there. Generally, you expect people to be naked when they're going to have sex or bathe. It's not like they didn't try to show as much of Drogo as they could get away with (unless it was late night TV on Showcase
).
One thing I did like, was that most of the women actually had realistic bodies. When Daenerys was getting into the bath in the first episode, I especially recall noticing that she had more of a classical figure (read: realistic figure) than they normally show in media. Likewise with some of the others. That was nice to see for a change.
...and Viserys
was a complete asshole and creep.
I found it very satisfying when Daenerys finally clocked him, like he deserved. Not to mention his overdue demise.
