The LSL7 is a 40 MB download. I need to add a warning for anyone with a slower connection.

Thanks for the catch. The link is good on the image, but hadn't been added right to the description below.

gumby wrote:A small suggestion.

How about putting all the demos in a horizontal scroll (perhaps using a spin control for paging?) so that vertical scrolling of the entire page would not be necessary? So we could scroll through the other available titles while the current game is loading.
You mean like this?
Sierra demos
The links on the descriptions are now fixed.

A lot of the demos are broken or have things wrong with them. Some is because I got them off of the internet and they were archived improperly, some because Sierra missed things. Others are incomplete rips. The LSL3 demo had no AdLib support, only MT-32 support, despite having included an ADL.DRV. I extracted the audio resources and patches from the full version and added the ones that the demo uses to add AdLib support. The PQ2 demo has a corrupted resource file. No one seems to know where a good copy is. OmarMor extracted the View resources from the full version, but there was no audio, either. Again I extracted the audio from the full version to re-add the corrupted audio.

I am going through all of my Sierra discs looking for and cataloging them. I'll see if I can track down some of the broken demos to archive them properly. One that I would love to get my hands on, even if only an ISO, is the Sierra Demo CD. Most of the demos on the internet that are broken came from this CD because they were badly ripped.

Let us know what you're looking for. Maybe one of us has it.

I'll make an announcement after I go through my discs. There might be other things missing.

I have a Sierra Demo CD. It's called Sierra's Sneak Peaks. It doesn't have any EGA game demos, though, to my knowledge. Just SCI1 (VGA) and up. It also has demos for games from Bright Star, Coktel Vision, and Dynamix among other then Sierra-owned brands.

Could you list the games on it?

On LSL7 I got:

Code: Select all

Z:\>imgmount c jar://LSL7DEMO.img -size 512,16,2,512
Can't create drive from file

Z:\>c:
Drive C does not exist!
You must mount it first. Type intro or mount for more information.

Z:\>autorun
Illegal command: autorun.

I hadn't thought about it, but I should add GOG links to ones that GOG sells.

@ BBP, I need to disable LSL7 until jDOSBox is a little more developed. It also will be problematic for those with a slower connections. I probably need to also use a different method to load it that would be a little more conducive to the large size of the download.

@ MI, That looks identical to the demos on the SO release of Gobliiins CD. The Hoyle Classic Card Games is Hoyle 4. You can see it on the jDOSBox page.

This is just a start to a demo page. I want to add information about each demo and download links and now GOG links for the ones GOG has.
