No, but in the /WDATA/WAV folder of the Soundtrack/Demo CD the .wav files titled 70000 to 70127 are clips of background music from game. Each is quite short, but if you string together a number of them, they form what you hear in certain areas of the game. For example, 70013 to 70020 are the various clips of background music you hear in Silmaria at night, . Randomising a series of them from the same area gives variety while keeping the same ambient feel of the setting. That's what I was referring to as "ambient music".
Have fun playing the game, Andrea! I'm sure you will enjoy it. There's nothing quite like getting a new game in a series you love.

My reply was only in response to DPX's post about Redbook audio tracks on data CDs.

I installed the game (Complete Installation) with no problem whatsoever. I installed the two patches listed on the SHP, and the game run wonderfully, without a glitch
First impression: the voice acting seems pretty solid, and the graphics - whilst clearly outdated - are beautiful. The story seems intriguing, and I was so happy to see once again my dear Rakeesh! Ah, it definitely feels like home

"I sorrow to learn that Erana is truly dead." Does that sound to anyone like "I don't really give a #$&*@, but I have to say something plausible for the sake of keeping up appearances"? *shrug*
If he really cared about Erana, wouldn't he say something like "*gasp*! Oh no, that's terrible news, I'm so sorry" etc.?

I must say I'm a bit disoriented. I didn't do much, in the game, unless wandering around, talking to people and memorizing who's and what's where... But I feel a distinct sense of abandonment: what am I supposed to do? Have I lost some clue on what should be my first task?

That's the best part of the game! Before you go to the Hall of Kings (which starts the quests), you basically have free reign. In other words, that's the perfect time to build up your states -- which you'll definitely need later on -- and to challenge people in the arena. You can fight in the arena once the quests have started, but your opportunities are severely limited due to the quests getting in the way.
You might ask, "Why do I want to fight in the arena? Aren't the quests the main point of the game?" Yes, the quests are the main overall objective; however, each time you fight (and win) in the arena, you gain money. That money can be very useful later on.

That's my problem. I entered the Rites at the very beginning and now I'm tossed around without time to get acquainted. I'm thinking on restarting the game, just to wait a few days before entering the rites.

I can't get back to Erasmus. I tried everything with the Wizard Hat then I resorted to a walkthrough just to see that I was supposed to cast Trigger at it, which was the very first thing I tried. Nothing happens.
I walk just inside the Wizard Hat, cast Trigger and a message shows up saying that my spell has no effect.
Anyone can help me?

Andrea, to get the most out of QfG5, you really need to have your stats up to the highest level possible before signing up for the rites. Once the rites begin, your progress will be dictated by those rites and you won't have time to build up your skills or to perform other little quests. The story guides YOU once the rites have begun. But if you wait, the rites will not begin without you - you can take things at your speed and at your leisure, explore everywhere, and so on.

Thanks, Al. I'm taking my time now: I've just finished all the missions listed on the Adventurer's Guild board. I've caught the responsible of the bank robbery. Now I'm wandering through the isle in search of foes. Since I'm a wizard I'm unsure about entering the arena as a competitor, but maybe I will. At this very moment, I've just reached the science building for the very first time and I'm about to enter!

Quick update:
Whilst building up my stats, I managed to give the artichoke/anchovies pizza to the scientist in the science building. I have a code I have no idea how to use and I can get Gort out of the way of a panel, 'cause the mentioned scientist keeps saying me not to touch the equipment (Gort is
the equipment?
)
An equally quick question:
Since I already now what the first rite will be, having started the rite immediately during my first, aborted playthrough, am I able to do this task
before starting the Rites?
