No, it was linked to your old site instead added as an attachment. If you still have it laying around someplace it would be great to replace the link to keep that thread intact.

I'll have to poke around for it...not popping up on my searches yet.

I think the best thing about this moment is that it isn't the end of the game.

Exactly. I love KQ3's flow. It's completely backwards to the regular flow of things. You defeat the evil villain at the beginning, then go on a journey, and then arrive home rather than leaving home to go on a journey and defeat the evil villain.

You know what I wonder - even after you turn Manahanananana into a cat - the time continues. I know you only have "X" amount of time to turn Manahahanananan into a cat. But after he's been turned into a cat - does the timer matter? For example, does the pirate ship "leave" at some point making it impossible to finish the game if you've not reached them by "X" amount of time?

Yes, a generous 20 minutes after you've visited the oracle, the pirate ship sails away.

Is the ship gone? Are you sure?
(checks script) Looks like, if you miss the boat, you'll get a message.
Also, time matters on the ship.
(wait: stuff to try: there's only one vocabulary entry for female person: you can call Rosella Medusa and the game won't know.
If you type Dog Last, the game comes up with an answer. Looks like it's a joke I don't get.)

Not at the ship. But I went and saw the Oracle, then went back up and had to wait for Manahahanan to come back - then I had to feed him - and I still have to do a few more spells.
And somehow get to the boat.
I will rage if I do all this and get to the boat and it says it's gone...

That's a limitation of the engine. You're supposed to be able to refer to Rosella as "woman" and to Medusa as "woman", but that means that all three terms (among others) become interchangeable.
At least KQ3 didn't do what KQ2 did for its female characters vocab list.

I'm guessing that the joke is that Kenny's last name is Ration, as in
Ken-L Ration. However, I'd expect that message to then be in response to "What is the dog's last name", not "dog last". The parser will accept "What is the dog last" (those extra words are just ignored), but it won't accept "dog's" or "name".

Plus side, I did not miss the boat.
Downside, I am - YET AGAIN - reminded how this game has too much of a "waiting game" sequence. I am in the boat - on the bottom - got my things back and got the shovel - and waiting (in the section with the mice) for the pirates to call for anchor... Been waiting probably 10 minutes in this room (with the speed turned to FASTEST)... How did I ever have the patience for this game?

And better news - I beat KQ3.
There's one I don't see replaying ANYTIME in the near future again.
Aside from the cliff at Manahahahanananan's house - there's a thousand more of those later when you escape the pirate ship. Then there's scaling down the wall with the caves. Then another insane flight of stairs.

Next: one of the two that I have replayed the most. Be sure that you use the Amiga sound installer.
