The version information can often (not always) be found on the diskette labels. I also made a tool that you can point to a folder with the game files that can read the VERSION/QA files for version information, query the interpreter for the interpreter version and compare the hash of a key file to match against a list of various versions of Sierra games. It can then dump the gathered info to a version.txt file in the game folder.
