MoE is a Glide game. My initial tests with a wrapper were not good, but I did not try more than dgVoodoo. At least the game works in VMware. At some point I'll look into it more.

How does one get and set up a Virtual Machine? And once having set up this VM, how does one get KQ8 to run on it?

Doesn't MOE have a Direct3D driver? I was sure it had more than Glide and Software. Maybe I'm wrong.

I used to have a Voodoo 3 1000 card but I sold it....STUPID STUPID STUPID. I still have a Voodoo 1, though. Not as good but in a way more classic.

You install VMware and then install Win98 in it. You will then be able to install MoE in it. You can find more information on VMware's site.

I am not longer using it. If you ask because of MoE, see this installer:

Do glide wrappers work in virtual machines? I got it to work in XP when I used to have it as my OS with a glide wrapper. I got stuck with the ax crash, though, and I'd long lost motivation to play before I found the save file on this site.

Yes, Glide wrappers work on some VMs like VMware, but at a performance cost. Again, for MoE, just use the new installer.
