Win10 is great for the most part. Big improvement over 8/8.1. Feels like Win7 again to me. I haven't found anything I can't do yet that I could do in Win7. I have to use it though for my software and for DirectX 12/13 D3D. Possibly Vulkan too? As for the privacy stuff, I turned off Cortana (probably not enough) and switched off every option in settings which shares data for "better personalization" but I've decided otherwise to just not care about it.

So my desktop (my primary machine) is Windows 7.
The Alienware laptop I got quite a few years ago is Windows 8.1
My work laptop is Windows 10.
I will say that Windows 8/8.1 was definitely the worse, of the three.
My Windows 10 is hard to judge; interface is close to Windows 7. But my Windows 10 machine is bogged down by a metric ton of security software from my job, that I know is impacting it.
(I guess you can count a Windows XP mini laptop I have that I use when I do the podcast like at a comic store; I take that).
I also have a Windows Vista laptop, but that's pretty much running Johnny Castaway non stop to the left of me. (I need to hit the space bar to reset the "day" - because I've seen the ending like 40 times now)

A laptop dedicated to Johnny Castaway. I approve.

I used to be obsessed with Johnny Castaway back when it first came out. I'd spend hours just watching it.

When I first discovered it I used to have it running on my 486. I didn't have a second computer to run it though. And by the time I did the computers were too new to run it lol.

*looks at picture; mind boggles* That's ... a lot of figurines, there.
Ah, well - I have a lot of books - enough to fill at least 3 book cases (with 6 high shelves each) ...

Hah! That's nothing. There's like three rows on that wall above it.
And the (Star Wars) LEGOS....!
