The Butler closed the unusual book to this weird story, wondering what had happened to make the writer write such an unusual story.

He opened an old tome, stared at the folks gathered before him, and read the first line: "It was the best of times, it was the worse of times - wait, that's not right, said the old man named..."

But we knew that wasn't as unhelpful as it sounds -- for, behold, if we know the Medallion always tells lies, we can simply assume the opposite. All we had to do was ask "Is [insert statement here] true?"

The medallion hums to life and glows a bit. Then it says (in a metallic voice): "Politicians are honest."

A-ha! That settles it! This is definitely a medallion that lies! =D
