Ideally, it shouldn't be like that anywhere. But, as DPX said, poverty there - and living conditions. People in India have HUGE families, also - which means, needing more money to support the family. And India, a lot of family members will live under the same roof, even after marriage - just because it's more financially beneficial. Down side to that? When one person gets sick - the entire house gets sick. And this happened with COVID - it was so bad in India, they were turning open fields into crematoriums to burn bodies.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Oct 16, 2021 1:36 am Hmm. Yes, of course you're right, DPX. But it shouldn't be like that in places like India.
So yes, in an ideal world, it should not be like that. But being a third world country, poverty, etc., this is how it's been.
And to make matters even worse, so many things are caste driven - if you come from a known family - you will get a job you're absolutely NOT qualified for over someone who is far more qualified.
But, this is the norm. So you know this person's family is above yours, so even if you know you're more qualified, you don't complain. Because this is how it works.
