7 is actually a lot like 6 in the sense that it's just packed full of stuff with little to no story. Not that I'm complaining, but just a heads-up.

You've just summarized perfectly my main complaint about the latest two games of LSL... Where is the story?Datadog wrote:7 is actually a lot like 6 in the sense that it's just packed full of stuff with little to no story. Not that I'm complaining, but just a heads-up.
LSL2 is my favorite of the series.Datadog wrote: My other favorite was LSL2 out of the series, in terms of the games that did have a plot. It was more focused on the misadventure over the sleaziness, but it was fun going on the worst vacation ever.
Which is a good point, for just sitting down for some brainless fun. You don't have to try and remember what you did for the others to get to the next puzzle. Especially in LSL7, you could access each girl and do their puzzles in any order.Datadog wrote:I still think it's a great formula. Put Larry into a new setting and put him to work trying to win over the hearts of several different women by doing all kinds of ridiculous tasks. You can sit down and play it anytime without needing to keep track of plot details, much like most regular games.
Couldn't agree more with everything you said. Even in LSL7, I wasn't a fan of Peg Leg Peggy or whatever... so the one chick you do the drinking game with in MCL was just way too over the top for me. And mind you I am not someone whose easily offended - but enough was enough, and everything has its place. Just didn't feel right in either one.DeadPoolX wrote:I think the main reason many Adventure gamers disliked MCL wasn't due to playing a different character -- as previously said, that occurs quite frequently in the KQ series -- but because the game was so very different. MCL relied on sophomoric humor and button-mashing rhythm games. The other LSL titles were based around the traditional Adventure Game control scheme. Plus, the humor -- while sometimes crude -- was funny without necessarily being over-the-top.
LSL7 was entertaining - but you could tell that Al was reaching... for some of the things.the_doctor wrote:the more i hear about MCL, the less likely I'll ever try to get it. I haven't even played 7 yet either. i have it, just haven't played it.
So was Larry.Tawmis wrote:LSL7 was entertaining - but you could tell that Al was reaching... for some of the things.the_doctor wrote:the more i hear about MCL, the less likely I'll ever try to get it. I haven't even played 7 yet either. i have it, just haven't played it.
It is... as is LSL3 since you're with Patti... or you control Patti.MusicallyInspired wrote:I never touched this series. And I don't intend to. Just doesn't interest me. Though I may try LSL2 sometime. It seems from reviews and comments to be the least sexual content-driven of all of them.
I think Tawmis is messing with you. There is no LSL4 -- LSL3 jumped right to LSL5. I believe Al Lowe joked about that, claiming LSL4's title was "The Lost Files" or something like that.Tawmis wrote:It is... as is LSL3 since you're with Patti... or you control Patti.MusicallyInspired wrote:I never touched this series. LSLIV is amazing stuff though. Absolutely no sexual content in it. If you can ever find it.
I was kidding. But telling the truth. There is no sexual content in LSL4.DeadPoolX wrote:I think Tawmis is messing with you. There is no LSL4 -- LSL3 jumped right to LSL5.
